Civics Fair
Strengthening our students’ communication skills and civic pride
Since 1998, the NR Fund has helped students explore the issues of citizenship and governance. Each spring, the Civics Fair, held in partnership with the City of New Rochelle and the NRHS Social Studies department, features projects by students earning the New York State Seal of Civic Readiness on their high school diplomas. Onstage, a panel of student participants and experts, including elected officials and distinguished scholars, engage in thought-provoking analysis of the points presented in the student projects.
